Volunteer Work

Best Buddies is an organization that serves to connect with people that have disabilities. Weekly my group and I had a meeting with two incredible girls, we spent our meetings talking with them and getting to know them better. Created new friendships and provided them support and smiles during the pandemic.

Taught basic English twice a month kids in Escuela Publica Vereda Villachuaga. Further reinforced their abilities to read and write in Spanish. 

Colegio Cumbres de Medellin hosts this event every December before Christmas. Spent an entire day with homeless people doing bond building activities and celebrating Christmas two years in a row. Had the opportunity to learn valuable lessons from these members and encourage young kids to keep studying. 

Organized a fundraiser called "Todos por uno" to collect funds. The fundraiser was based on five activities all around our school that made students reflect on their values, their privilege and their desire to create a change. Managed to buy more than 150 sorted materials of school supplies for this children.

TOM is a conference that finds technological solutions to understand the needs of real life and disabled individuals. Served as marketing staff and facilitated the communications for the entire team, documented the process and created the final video to promote the resolution.

During the pandemic, we partnered with the Clinica el Rosario and found  volunteers  to donate blood. Total of  35 volunteers, that contributed to saving more than 240 lives.

Fundraiser in The Columbus School to raise  funds to build several aqueducts for Indigenous tribes that did not have access to clean water in La Guajira. Incentivized donation of cloths, food, and other basic necessities. After fundraising we traveled to  La Guajira and spent and entire week  learning about their traditions.
